How this blog is built and why it is bilingual
A short look at what the site runs on, how it is prepared for search and how articles get published.
This is the first note, and it is about the blog itself. From here on there will be articles about AI and automation, plus a little about cars and thoughts.
Why static
The site is built into plain HTML files. They open fast, they are easy to serve with nginx, and search engines do not have to run scripts to see the text.
Two languages
Each article lives in its own language folder. If the Russian and English versions share a file name, the site treats them as translations and links them with hreflang. If there is no translation, the page simply stays single-language.
How an article reaches the site
An article is one Markdown file with a title, a description, a date and a category. A missing field breaks the build, so a page without a description never gets published.
